BASTION is a modular, portable, and reconfigurable system designed to rapidly restore logistical and operational capabilities in disaster or conflict scenarios.

Includes:

BASTION comprises: [1] SHELTER MODULES, intended to provide shelter, to be developed during the first phase of the R&D process and fully covered by the activities of the present application; and [2] SURVIVAL MODULES, designed to provide critical functions such as power supply, communications, medical support, among others, to be developed during the second phase of the R&D process, which is dependent on the completion of the functional, geometric, and volumetric parameterisation of the SHELTER MODULES (Phase 1).

It consists of a finite and limited number of immutable, lightweight components that enable easy and rapid deployment. Offering high logistical efficiency, civil–military interoperability, and industrial scalability, BASTION has strong dual-use potential and provides a robust, autonomous, and adaptable response to crisis situations, particularly in scenarios involving the total collapse of critical infrastructure.
